Colonel Gaddafi
Muammar Gaddafi, also known as Colonel Gaddafi, was the leader of Libya from 1969 until his death in 2011. He was born in 1942 in a Bedouin tent in the desert of western Libya and died during the 2011 civil war. Gaddafi came to power in a bloodless coup in 1969, overthrowing the Libyan monarchy.
